ANIMAL CRACKERS IN MY SOUP.....

monkeys and rabbits loop the loop?

Hello beautiful people!

This weeks email could be very short, or very long ha I dont really know ha, it will be a surprise to all of us.

IVE BEEN A MISSIONARY FOR 11 MONTHS!

When the good heck did that happen?!

Monday!
We went out and saw my best friends out at the Hutterite Milford Colony. I love them soooooo much, they are the sweetest! Ha we have so much fun just being in their presence every time. And they sang for us too! They have the voices of angels and make my eyes water everytime they sing for us because it is so beautiful! They fed us dinner too! Home made chicken fried rice! Ha we're going back out there in a week to see them again.

Then that night we held a church tour at one of the church buildings, and in each of the different rooms a missionary taught a different part of the Restoration. My job was to be the tour guide :)

Tuesday I picked up a violin from one of the members here in town! And every spare minute we have I'm playing it ha. It all just came  back to me :)

Wednesday IT RAINED AND RAINED AND RAINED ha pretty much rained all the way until yesterday night!

Thursday we had zone conference!!! And it was amazing! We even got to go and do a session in the Cardston temple. I loved every second. I just love the temple so much, so peaceful. GAH I LOVE THE GOSPEL.

Agh, I'm out of time :( I apologize. ha This week so many cool things happened ha but if you were to judge it by my email you'd think it was lame.

Ha take my word for it. THIS WEEK WAS MAGICAL AND AMAZING.

Doctrine and Covenants 88:63

63 Draw near unto me and will draw near unto you; seek me diligently and ye shall find me; ask, and ye shall receive; knock,and it shall be openeunto you.

He's waiting.  And I can promise you that if you do sincerely seek him, and pray and ask, HE WILL ANSWER YOU. He wants to.

I love the gospel. I know its true. And I know it can change your life. What are you waiting for?

Love you always! I promise to be better next week!

Love Sister Connor.

Here comes the sun, buh duh daduh......

Just kidding, it's been raining.

Just Kidding......it's been raining.

This week was so fast! But so good!!!

Day by day break down? Nope. haha I always run out of time. HA so here goes nothing :)

On Pday we went out to Cardston to hang out with the other missionaries in our zone at the Leavitts house. We all just hung around and talked and chilled. Played ping pong and foosball and pool, you know the works :) Ha I forced Egbert to play the piano for everyone too. Ha SHE IS SO GOOD! Basically Mozart but like hides it, ha so everywhere we go that has a piano I'm like," Oh look a piano! Sister Egbert is amazing at piano! Go play it!" Hahaha :D

Tuesday was crazy! But wonderful. I got to go on exchanges with Sister Martin. I love that girl. Ha we have so much fun together every time, ha and can't stop laughing. We just have the same sense of humour so its pretty dangerous. But I always learn so much from her, such an amazing sister missionary, she has been on her mission now for 17 months and goes home this September. We taught our investigator Dan, he's an older guy and in his 70s. He is the sweetest! But he's been taking the discussions. :) The spirit was so strong while we were there it felt like we got hit with a brick wall.

On Friday we got to drive all the way up to Calgary for Re-Trainers meeting, since I'm training Egs. I was so excited! I miss Calgary so much ha and while we were up there I got to see some of my favourite sisters! Sister Keller (my comp in Queensland) and Sister Shumway!! AND I finally got to see London!!! Ha so
exciting! She's being trained by Sister Keller.

I finally gave Sister Shumway back her Grandma shirt, ha 7 months later :)

Elder Hill!

It was so fun to see everyone again :) While we were up there we swapped out our car ha. The bumper was still taped on, and it made it all the way to Calgary again! The mission takes such good care of us. I just love it out here. Always keeping us safe and what not.

Friday night we went and ate dinner at the Hardy's in 8th ward, I love them. But after dinner we took Sister Hardy out proselyting with us and a miracle happened! We went to visit a potential investigator but ended up just talking with her on her porch, but after we went next door to talk to her neighbour, who's a member but doesn't come to church. We were talking with him at his door and it really wasn't going anywhere. So I asked him if there was anything that we could do for him. "Does anyone play piano?" HA, I practically pushed Egs through the door and said SHE DOES, PLAY FOR HIM SISTER EGBERT! And thankfully we had Sister Hardy with us so we could go inside. haha We were there for an hour just talking with him and singing and playing on the piano, and he had a guitar too! So I got to strum around a bit, ha but he's like super duper good. It was awesome! Spirit was so strong, even though all we did was sing old cowboy songs, you could tell he really needed it. We practically skipped home we were so excited. Yep.

I love this gospel. I love my mission. I just love life! There's so much more to this reality than we think. I love Heavenly Father, he has done so much for me, and for all of you! And so has Jesus Christ! Because of him we have the opportunity to live with God again. I know this to be true.

Book of Mormon, Alma 7:11-12

11 And he shall go forth, suffering pains and afflictions and temptations of every kind; and this that the word might be fulfilled which saith he will take upon him the pains and the sicknesses of his people.
12 And he will take upon him deaththat he may loose the bands of death which bind his people; and he will take upon him their infirmities, that his bowels may be filled with mercy, according to the flesh, that he may know according to thflesh how to succor his people according to their infirmities.
The word succor means to run to, or to give aid. Jesus Christ is the only one in this world that knows EXACTLY how you feel and the pain you are suffering. But because of him we do not have to suffer, or suffer alone. When we turn to him that weight can be taken away. I have a testimony of that.

Book of Mormon, Moroni 10:32

32 Yea, come unto Christ, and be perfected in him, and denyyourselves of all ungodliness; and if ye shall deny yourselves of allungodliness, and love God with all your might, mind and strength,then is his gracsufficient for you, that by his grace ye may beperfect in Christ; and if by the grace of God ye are perfect inChrist, ye can in nowise deny the poweof God.

Until next time loves. :) Keep going.

Love you always.

No Subject.

Sister Connor, Vega$. Sister Egbert, Mudlake Idaho. Elder Burrows, Ogden Utah. Elder Spencer, Orderville, Utah.

Pretty much our area in a picture. Empty roads, fields, farms, and NO MOUNTAINS.

Sorry ha my mind went blank deciding on a subject line haha.

Welp, things are going just peachy up here in Southern Alberta. :)

Ready, day by day....GO!

Monday! PDAY PDAY PDAY
We came and emailed and then went to the gas station to buy some chocolate and marshmallows for our District Weenie roast for Pday :) Why gas station you ask? ha Last Monday was some national holiday in Canada (Canadian fun fact: They have at least 1 holiday on a Monday per month, no joke. And if there wasn't one already there, they make one up.) They didn't have grahams though, so thankfully our favorites the Robsons had some for us. :)   But ha the weenie roast was a lot of fun ha, I love how diverse our district is. We've got; me and Egs from Vega$ and Idaho, then Elders Spencer and Burrows, from Utah, Sisters Joseph and Gonzalez from New Zealand and Quebec, then Elders Gibbs and Lusk from Utah, and California. We have a good time :) After the weenie roast we went and did service for a family we do service for all the time. We've been trying to teach them for awhile. But, they invited us over to help them in their yard and for some BBQ. It went great! We did what they wanted us to do and then had a great dinner outside under the trees. And before we were about to leave Egs popped the question. "Before we leave can we teach you?" And they were pretty hesitant but then said yes! So we ended up teaching them the plan of salvation and it went great! The wife even got tears in her eyes when we started talking about the church. This couple and their son come to church almost every Sunday, but are not members. We talked to them about the temple and how they can become an eternal family. Spirit was so strong and we picked them up as new investigators. We were stoked!!!

(haha I'm running out of time so the rest of the days are going to be super lame and short. sorry bout that !)

Tuesday
We drove for ever through fields on fields on fields to go to a small town called Glenwood for our Zone Training Meeting. Went well :) After we all stopped at the local ice cream shop ha all 20 something of us, ha it was packed probably their busiest day all month! Then we drove all the way back haha. We walked and talked to everyone all over town the rest of the day. My shoes are wearing down quick, I love it :)

Wednesday
Egs got pretty sick this week, just caught a bug so we took it easy this day and I let her rest. But the whole rest of the afternoon and night we just went out a worked !

thursday.
-Took Egs to the Doc, and got her some meds.
- Went and visited with Old man George and talked about the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I love George ha he walks all around town to get his exercise and just cruises right along. I don't think we could keep up with him if we tried.
- Then we went and taught Shaimus and the Tolman kids! I LOVE THEM haha they're so full of energy and make me laugh so much. Taught them about the plan of salvation using one of Dillons gardening gloves. :) It worked.

Friday
Friday was good :) We ate lunch with Sister Pack, she makes us lunch every week :) Then we went and volunteered at Good Sams (Old folks place) and helped out with their talent show. Sister Egbert forgot to mention to me that she's basically Mozart when it comes to the piano and we got her to play for the residents. My mouth fell open when she started to play ha, it was amazing! We went to a block party in the 6th ward and our investigator Sam came with her family. From there we went to a little bonfire with a couple we just love over in the 4th ward then taught them a little lesson. It was so much fun. I love the summertime here. I feel like I live in "the Sandlot" here. We were walking down the street and we ran into one of our investigators. I asked if he would be baptized, and in complete seriousness he replied with, "nope, can't get baptized, I'll lose my magic." I was like wait what? haha so we talked for a little bit more and he ended up taking a Book of Mormon, after I shared 1 Nephi 3 :7 with him and we talked about commandments.

Saturday!
We worked the Raymond Triathlon pretty much all day ha, me and Egs were placed on the side of the road, WAY OUT in the fields and sat there and cheered on the bikers that would come by every 20 minutes haha. WE GOT FRIED. But it was still a lot of fun, pretty peaceful out there.

Welp out of time folks ha sorry my emails are terrible and probably never make any sense. I love you guys and miss you all! Thanks for all the support and love :)

It's a great day, to be alive.....

Howdy Howdy everyone!

I am loving life right now! :) No real words to describe it. I'm training a new missionary from Mud Lake, Idaho. Her name is Sister Egbert. So of course I call her Eggs for short. :) Its cool because my trainer was trained by a Sister Egbert and now I'm training a Sister Egbert ha, they're not related though. Sister Egbert grew up farming and ranching and even did Rodeo for Utah State. Raymond is going to love her haha. Ha we are having so much fun working and laughing together. I can tell this is going to be a great transfer ha.

This week was really good! Got in with a lot of our investigators. And Dan, from last weeks email came to church this week! How awesome right?! I was like DAN?! So great!!! This week was kind of hectic due to transfers but still a good one. We did a lot of service, helped a lot of people move. :) On Tuesday me and Sister Barton burnt our skirts to mark our half way point. Ha we were so busy that we missed our 9 month mark so we did it on our 10 month instead! Ha that pink skirt had been worn SO MUCH in the last 10 months ha so dirty and just done, ha it was time for it to die. Ha so I cant believe that it has been 10 months already. Time just keeps slipping through my fingers! I don't want it to end ha. I seriously feel like I just left the MTC and now here I am teaching some one who really did just leave the MTC how to be a missionary. I still cant believe it when I wake up. The skirt burning was fun ha, then we drove up to Lethbridge for transfers. They sent Sister Barton up North to Calgary, she's in the Shawnessy ward! (That's the ward where I served in a 3 leg)

Our mission has made August, Walk and Talk August. And as a mission we want to try and talk to 1 Million people over the whole month. So we're going to walk everywhere, and talk to everyone we see! Ha we started it this Saturday and holy cow there were some miracles. We didn't get to teach anyone while we were walking around, but cool things happened ha. We were walking along and this random truck pulls up and stops next to us, I look up and the lady says, "Hey girls! How you doing? Here go by yourself some lunch." And handed us a $10 bill. We were in shock ha, then we kept walking and started to talk to an older lady that was outside her house and she gave us $10 too! Along with a  pack of graham crackers, marshmallows, 4 cheese sticks and 2 bananas. Ha I was like what the heck is happening ha blessing after blessing. AND THEN as we were walking home we stopped at a random members house to see how they were doing and they referred us to go see their neighbors. AND THEN AND THEN as we were walking up our drive way a man stopped us and referred us to go see his neighbors too! We had only been walking for like 4 hours and all that happened. I'm so excited to see what else comes from this this month.

I love Raymond. I'm so blessed to be serving here, and to be training a new missionary. I've found that training has helped me to push myself even more to be a good missionary. We most definitely are having fun and working hard.

This weeks scripture comes from 1 Nephi in the Book of Mormon: 1 Nephi 3:7

And it came to pass that I, Nephi, said unto my father: I will go and do the things which the Lord hath commanded, for I know that the Lord giveth no commandments unto the children of men, save he shall prepare a way for them that they may accomplish the thing which he commandeth them.

As you go throughout the rest of your day I invite you to think of the things that the Lord has commanded YOU to do. And think of how you can do them, or do them better. As you do this I can promise you that you'll start to see that the  Lord will always prepare a way. If you're on the edge about something right now, get off it and choose God. Quit rebelling, it only will get harder. Follow Jesus Christs example and the commandments, only blessings and happiness will follow. :) I can sure testify of that, I've never been so happy in my life. Give it a shot. You'll never know if you don't try.

Love you always! Talk to you soon!
